Hey Folks, Wazz up! Hope You people are safe and protected. Guys, how many of you know that today, i.e. 19th of November is celebrated as an “International Men’s Day”? Huh.. Maybe you are thinking that what so special about this day. Well! Let me tell you that you are not the one from where this reaction would arise. Unlike Women’s Day, there are no such celebrations done on this day. Nearly half of the majority of people exhibit the same reaction when they hear about the Men’s Day – Oh, Is there really an International Men’s Day?

Maybe this reaction is just because, 80% of the history has been written by men, about men. On the other hand, 80% of religion, legislation as well as scientific advancement has also been written by men and about men. Men tend to celebrate all year round. Whenever, they get the time they hang with friends, have fun, downing beer, and grab to do everything whenever they get the chance. Moreover, they don’t suffer from any maltreatment complex where they feel the need of coming together and establish a sense of affinity. So, who are Men?

A Man can be

  • A Father
  • A Grandfather
  • A Brother
  • A Friend
  • A Teacher
  • A Student
  • A Colleague
  • A Son
  • A Nephew
  • A Father-in-Law
  • A Brother-In-Law
  • A Stranger

Those who think that Men shouldn’t be honoured by women, I respect their thoughts. Because they can only be those who must have gone through the toughest time which made them believe that “ALL MEN ARE SAME”. But, I really want you to read the above content once more and realize that all the categories under Men cannot be the same to hurt you. And the word Men does not mean the person only whom you hate. There are also men who believe in Feminist. According to them, it is not important to provide equal power to both Men & Women, but should always be prioritized to Women.

The intention behind writing this content was not to make readers realize the importance of this day but to commemorate the contributions of those role models who positively influenced their gender. Yes, there are some men who believe themselves to be God and expect their wives to remain under their sole. No matter what treatment they give, these men expect women to pay respect as they tend to give God.

I keep those men aside of my thoughts as for me they don’t even deserve respect as we do to our pets. But, yes, there are men who believes in women’s empowerment. To celebrate this day with equal spirit, we as a woman need to understand men struggle with anxiety, depression and mental illness as well. We know that men don’t cry, hence, should encourage them to express their emotions and talk about their feelings freely. We need to create a space where men can talk about their heart-felt feelings without getting judged to be sensitive.

Cheers! Let’s Celebrate International Men’s Day Together.
